On The Job Training (OTJT) Program
For more than 30 years, Coronis has offered an On The Job Training (OTJT) program that trains new-to-industry agents with no sales experience how to become world class real estate agents. We have a proven track record of getting agents up to speed and selling 20+ properties in their first 12 months faster than most agencies. On average, agents who have graduated through our OTJT program can earn $90,000+ in salary and bonuses in their first year, well above the industry average of many experienced agents.
The first year in real estate is often the most challenging as agents learn to ride the highs of people saying yes and the pain of rejection therefore our program delivers a comprehensive experience that teaches the necessary skills to list and sell, but also to develop a strong mindset to create longevity in this industry. Our OTJTs work alongside our team of experienced agents where they learn how to prospect, nurture potential clients, book appointments, conduct market appraisals and successfully market and sell a property over 12 weeks.
At the end of the program, if they have successfully listed 18 properties in conjunction with a senior agent, they graduate to an agent and are fully qualified to list and sell on their own.
Weekly mentoring sessions
It doesn’t matter what stage of your career you’re at, sometimes you need a helping hand or advice on how to navigate a difficult sale. We’ve trialed many training programs within Coronis and we believe the most effective to date is small, personalized mentoring sessions with the Coronis Sales Leadership Team.
Throughout each week, groups of four agents meet up at a designated location to discuss changes in legislation, new marketing approaches, difficult sales and how to overcome them, scripts and dialogues or anything that our agents need advice or help with.
Each year, our team attends several industry conferences to hear from experts, leading agents, coaches and entrepreneurs about what’s new and exciting, how to improve their skillset and most importantly, look after themselves. These conferences include RESE, AREC and Momentum.
